Ok, it has been a long time, being really busy with works and also going here and there with my family and friends. :) Back to the work part, I was given a briefing again about a B2B website, that is Business to Business website. What i was brief on is, how to input the product, product name and so forth. There was 4 different types of B2B website that i was introduce by Mr James. Well that was it for today. 15-17 days of internship
27th - 29th of June 2011
Basically for the past few days, I started to do my research on envelope design, do some sketching,and digitalizing. On the 28th of June my boss said he still needs to put a little changes on the catalog design for the product part. There was 15 products in total that was equal to 8 pages of product. It took me the whole day to make the changes. Also the worst part is that, at first he asked me to do it in A4 size, a few hours later he told me to do it in a smaller size then A4, few minutes after that he asked to change it back to A4 size, then a few hours more he asked to change it to the smaller size again. To be honest it was pretty annoying at first, but yah it is an experience. Finally on the 29th, which was yesterday the catalog was approved by both boss except last night he called me and ask me to export it into PDF file for the catalog to be put online. Also I started to put the envelope design in the computer to digitalize it. Well basically thats what happen for the 3 days of my internship. :). 8-9 days of internship
16th - 17th of June 2011
The two days was all about the designing of logo. I design around 5 design of logo, but sadly in the end that is on the 17th of June he choose back the old logo but I still have to make slight changes to it. Well it was very tiring because after designing,researching,sketching other logos, he still chose the old logo. Below is the image of the logo:

20th - 24th of June 2011
The whole week was all about the catalog. Researching, sketching, designing and digitalizing. At first I design around 3 catalog design. My boss chose one design. After choosing one design, boss wanted to make it look as simple as possible. So I redesign everything and make it as simple as I can. The whole week, everyday i completed the catalog there must be a slight,little changes I have to do on the catalog. Until the 24th of June, finally the catalog was approved. But I was still not sure if the catalog design was really what they want, cause it was not yet approved by the other boss. So I was not really that happy. Well that's what happen for the whole week. 7th day of internship

Still doing the research about other companies while waiting for another task to be given. So in the end I end up doing research for 30 companies. Today I was told that I had a meeting with two of my boss. The meeting was at 3pm in the afternoon. In the meeting I was asked to search another p2p platform to promote our product such as Tradekey, Made in China and so forth. I was also told to create a new catalog, logo, envelope and packaging bag design for our company. The meeting end at 5pm in the evening. So that's it for now.

6th day of internship

Continue doing the research on other company. At first i thought it was an easy task, but honestly it was kind of difficult because not all company give their complete address and contact number, some also does not have their net sales, or revenue. So i had to google and google until i find the right one. Some company also does not provide an english language, so it was really difficult to understand. So it took me the whole day to complete doing research in total of 20 companies. After completing it, i check the Alibaba, and luckily the web banner design was approve. Below is the approve web banner and template:

After two days of holiday, my boss has given me his comment and approval on which web banner design should be put into the mini website. Well i had to made a few changes on the design, because he commented that the company logo is too small and it should be on the left side of the banner. I had it fixed, and i input it into the mini website of Alibaba, unfortunately i have to wait at least 24 hours for the Alibaba to approve the banner design as well as the template. Below is the banner that my boss chose:
In the afternoon, my boss emailed me and ask me to help him with the research on other company that can help our company to sell our product to, or to sell our product to them. I was ask specifically to focus on company that produce steel. There was a long list of steel manufacture company. Basically i have to do some research on the company add,ways to contact and their net sales and numbers of employees. Basically that was my task for today.
